We have an immediate opening for an experienced and self-motivated Sales Manager for our Central Midwest Region. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for creating and maintain customer relationships and generate sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Establish new customers and manage existing accounts with a relationship focus that is consistent with the Company’s objectives
- Identify sales opportunities based on customer’s needs
- Work with customer service/order team to ensure accuracy of orders and changes
- Report out on sales, contacts, and other customer related activity weekly
- Attend tradeshows, make customer facility and corporate plant visits
- Support other sales managers with customer contacts and visits
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal & independent thinker
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Able to deliver presentations and operate in a large or small group environment
- Able to work remotely or onsite
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the horticultural industry
- 5+ years outside relationship sales experience
- Sales/Marketing degree; Preferred
- Must be able to travel 20% of the time
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening and authorized to work in the United States
